Live plants will be planted & evaluated in a manner consistent with the micro-scale monitoring techniques; 7) Landing kiosks will include Lake Zone maps & channel marker buoys will be placed in the identified navigational lanes in the east basin; 8) USAOC & DNR Dam Safety Engineers to determine what modification will be permitted to the current structure, and/or what requirements need to be met; 9) Estimate nutrient & sediment loads from subwatershed areas draining the 805 sq mi watershed; 10) Demonstrate restorations & employ a 10 year natural shoreline restoration program with 10 demonstration sites will be developed & promoted; 11) Appraise existing tern habitat condition & complete tern management planning. Montello Lake P&R District: Lmi-Montello Lake Diagnostic Feasibility Study: The Montello Lake Protection and Rehab District proposes to conduct a Diagnostic Feasibility Study on their lake. This project will result in the development of a lake management plan while integrating all partners including the area community. This will be executed via the completion of a diagnostic/

Little Green Lake Protection & Rehab. Dist.: Lmi-East Subwatershed Water & Sediment Control Basins: The Little Green Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to design and construct three water and sediment control basins in the east subwatershed of Little Green Lake. Little Green Lake P & R District: Res-Little Green Lake Destratification Project: The Little Green Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to install a circulation system consisting of compressors, air delivery lines, filter system, and a housing structure. The circulation system is designed to ensure sufficient oxygen concentrations in the deep-water areas of the lake. Oxygen in deep-water areas of the lake will reduce the release of phosphorous from the lake sediment and decrease the level of lake fertilization. This will result in improved water clarity and algae conditions thereby improving water quality conditions for recreation and aesthetics.

Local resources to be provided include volunteer services during installatiotn, volunteer services regarding project management, and financial contribution from Green Lake County.

The project deliverables will include design and installation of a system of compressors and airline sufficient to circulate lake water in the deepest portions of the lake generally greater than 15 feet; report of evaluation monitoring of lake nutrient and mixing conditions after the system becomes operational; and, conduct pre and post operation public informational meetings and prepare fact sheets (current lake conditions, descriptions of circ system, goals/benefits/ecological effects).

Little Green Lake P & R District: Acq-Little Green Lake (Scharschmidt) Land Acquisition: The Little Green Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to purchase 45.61 acres of land known as the Scharschmidt property to help prevent nutrient loading into Little Green Lake.

This project will result in the development of a lake management plan while integrating all partners including the area community. This will be executed via the completion of a diagnostic/
feasibility study on the lake, watershed and tributaries; these elements will be developed and included: water quality monitoring on lakes in the Montello River Basin; water quality monitoring on six tributaries; flow monitoring on six tributaries; model tributary loads to the lake; land use impact assessment via SWAT modeling; internal loading evaluation; physical shoreline assessment; coordination and communications with all partners and public; management options and implementation plan.

Major components of this work include:

The project's deliverables are to gather, analyze and summarize historical lake water quality/level data; monitor current water quality; establish water level monitoring sites and begin data collection; desseminate historical data, shallow lake ecology information, management alteratives and current status and challenges; identify user expectations and management potential to arrive at consensus on major goals, issues and priorities. A published summary report including management recommendations will be disseminated to property owners, user groups, local, state and federal officials and the general public.

Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Management Plan: The Lake Puckaway Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to undertake a comprehensive lake management planning project for Puckaway Lake. The project will consist of collecting, analysing and summarizing new and existing physical, chemical and biological data for the preparation of an educational brochure. A survey will be conducted of lake users and area residents about perceptions, attitudes and expecations for the lake; resident advisory "issue teams" will be organized to develop management strategies addressing these issues. The results of all "issue team" efforts will be summarized in a comprehensive lake management plan. In addition, the goals and objectives for each issue identified by the "issue teams" will be documented. This lake management plan will be developed that will incorporate historical data, current status relative to land use and water quality and the publics' expectations for the future of the lake. It will also describe management alternatives and any conflicts or consequences resulting from multiple uses and expectations for the lake. This plan, the educational brochure and survey results will be presented at the District's annual meeting and through its newsletters, both pre-project and post-project work. The DNR will be provided both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the management plan.

Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Management Plan Study Phase Iii: The Lake Puckaway Protection and Rehab District proposes to conduct phase III of a comprehensive management plan on Lake Puckaway. Project deliverables include shoreline erosion inventory, monitoring and habitat characteristic documentation; and organize a 2-day educational Lake Fair. Town Of Nepeuskun: Town Of Nepeuskun Land Use Plan And Integration: The Town of Nepeuskun proposes to conduct a Land Use/Ordinance Integration Plan . The project deliverables will include a summary report of existing town ordinances; an amended town zoning ordinance; a revised official zoning map; a revised policy for regulatory enforcement of the zoning ordinance; adoption of a driveway construction permitting process; development and adoption of a storm water management and erosion control ordinance; and completion of the process for developing a strategic plan for integrating the town land use plan and zoning ordinance with the Rush Marsh Management Plan.

Project includes characterizing the depth contours and composition of the existing and subsurface dredge banks; and providing a report including map indicating bank configurations, locations, depths. GPS or GIS integration will be completed. This work will be completed within the lake basin and excludes river reaches.

Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Wind Fetch And Wave Modeling For Habitat Improvement: The Lake Puckaway P & R District is sponsoring a project in partnership the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to model lake bed sediment re-suspension via use of the Wind / Wave model. Results of the study will be used to plan future habitat restoration projects on this impaired lake system.

Specific project activities include: 1) Run wind /wave model; 2) Hold stakeholder meetings to share results and solicit ideas / input; 3) Re-run model with at least three alternative island configurations.
Project final deliverables include: 1) All data collected, 2) agendas and minutes for planning meetings, 3) and a plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion.

Special Conditions: 1) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database

Project includes characterizing the depth contours and composition of the existing and subsurface dredge banks; and providing a report including map indicating bank configurations, locations, depths. GPS or GIS integration will be completed. This work will be completed within the lake basin and excludes river reaches.

Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Wind Fetch And Wave Modeling For Habitat Improvement: The Lake Puckaway P & R District is sponsoring a project in partnership the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to model lake bed sediment re-suspension via use of the Wind / Wave model. Results of the study will be used to plan future habitat restoration projects on this impaired lake system.

Specific project activities include: 1) Run wind /wave model; 2) Hold stakeholder meetings to share results and solicit ideas / input; 3) Re-run model with at least three alternative island configurations.
Project final deliverables include: 1) All data collected, 2) agendas and minutes for planning meetings, 3) and a plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion.

Special Conditions: 1) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database

This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.

Consultant final report: it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper (bound) and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.

Green Lake County: Fox River Water Quality Monitoring Project: Green Lake County's Department of Land Conservation proposes to conduct a water quality monitoring project on the Fox River, from the inlet of Lake Puckaway to Berlin. This project will provide a solid water quality inventory to be used as the basis for future implementation of BMPs within the watershed. The county is partnering with Fox-Wolf 2000 to not only develop a local interest group for the Upper Fox River, but also to enhance the existing Fox-Wolf 2000 group. A final report will detail all results and activities of this project.

The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report.

Green Lake County: Green Lake County Fox River Assn & Assessment Project: Green Lake County Land Conservation Department proposes to organize an official management organization with membership representing several municipalities as well as sportsman, recreational and business users along the Fox River. Specifically, Green Lake County will establish a network of volunteers to collect water quality data, host river tours and cleanup days, develop by-laws, appoint a Board of Directors for the newly formed River Association, and develop a river management plan to guide future preservation and restoration efforts. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated April 27, 2010.
